A Lake Norman Restaurant Restaurant Review: Dresslers
A Lake Norman Restaurant Review
By
Kathy K.
This is an exciting day for the Lake Norman Real Estate Blog as I am proud to introduce a new feature: A Lake Norman Restaurant Review; reviews of local restaurtants by a budding restaurant critic Kathy K. Her first reveiw will be of Dressler’s, an upscale contemporary American restaurant that opened in September 2003 at Birkdale Village in Huntersville:
DRESSLERS in Birkdale Village
My husband and I recently came upon a fabulous restaurant located in Birkdale Village over in Huntersville. Dressler’s Restaurant was the perfect place to celebrate my husband’s recent retirement. We arrived exactly at 5PM when the restaurant opened their doors and thought it was odd that they asked if we had reservations and then looked just a tad perplexed when we said that we didn’t. Odd, because we glanced around the large dining area and noticed it was totally empty, not a customer in site nor any waiting at the door. Although the entire place is beautifully decorated and there really didn’t seem to be any undesireable tables, there were several by the window that were empty yet we were seated at a small table in the middle of the room. We soon realized why. By 5:15PM nearly every table was occupied.
This was definitely the happening place to be…and on a Wednesday night! Along with a glass of Kismet Pinot Grigio, I ordered the Halibut with lump crab, spinach and roasted red peppers on a chive potato cake with a sun dried tomato buerre blanc. It was truly out of this world! My husband opted for the Tuna which came with a ginger glaze and warm Thai peanut slaw on a sesame rice cake. He was in Heaven as well. The meal was perfect from start to finish and the service was top notch. I will say it’s a bit pricey but worth every penny. If you’re looking for a gourmet meal at an upscale restaurant, Dressler’s is right up your alley! Kathy added in an email: It was absolutely awesome…best food we’ve had down here so far and we’ve had some very good meals!

Editor’s Note: Don’t forget to try their Creme Brulée for dessert!
