Lake Norman Area New Year’s Eve Celebrations 2016/2017

Happ New Year 2017 from Lake Norman Real Estate

Lake Norman and the greater Charlotte area don’t have just one major New Years’ celebration or event, instead we have myriad ways to celebrate on New Year’s Eve 2016 and New Year’s Day 2017. Our public celebrations are, for the most part, found at local restaurants and entertainment venues spread throughout Lake Norman and Charlotte. From cruises on our beautiful Lake Norman to elegant 5-course dinners to rockin’ oldies bands, there truly is something for everyone.

Probably the ultimate Lake Norman New Year’s Eve celebration is a cruise on our beautiful lake. The Queens Landing  New Year’s Eve Cruises offer truly elegant dining on the Lady of the Lake or a bit more casual on the Catawba Queen. The elegant New Years Yacht Party runs from 10:00pm to 1:00am featuring passed upscale hors d’oeuvres, semi-open bar, live DJ and champagne toast for $100. The more casual celebration, New Years Eve at Queens Landing is from 5:30 pm to 2:00 am. Johnny B will be their guest MC again at this year’s Queens Landing New Years Eve Celebration Concert.  Featuring SummerDaze an eclectic party band playing hit songs like Wagon Wheel, Up Town Funk, Can’t Stop This Feeling, Boogie Shoes,  Addicted to Love, The Wobble and Cupid Shuffle Dance. Styles include Pop Favorites, Funk, Soul, and Classic Pop Rock.   Johnny B will be mixing hits in between the band breaks to keep the party and the dancing moving throughout the night. At midnight countdown with the Live Ball Drop in Time Square on the video Screen and TVs.  After the Countdown the Midnight New Years Buffet of Breakfast Items and Prime Rib Carving Station is opened and the band plays on!  Queens Landing, 1459 River Highway.

The very best way to find out what is happening in all of Charlotte and Lake Norman is to pick up a free copy of Creative Loafing. Here is a link to their New Year’s Eve Guide for 2016…it is very long and growing! It is amazing how much is going on this year!!!! They even do hourly updates on their Food and Drink section.

The best sources for lists of New Years Eve events in our Lake Norman area are LKNFun.com which has a long list of special events in the Lake Norman area restaurants and bars and, 704 Events.com which are websites devoted to entertainment and dining information in the greater Lake Norman area.
