Horse drawn carriage at Christmas in Davidson's 3-evening celebratiion

Carriage rides at Christmas in Davidson

“Christmas in Davidson” is truly one of the most special Lake Norman area celebrations for the holidays. It is definitely one of my favorite community events of the year. 2013 marks the 26th year of this three-evening celebration which is being held this year on December 5th,6th, and 7th in Downtown Davidson. Three “magical”evenings from 6pm – 9pm, this very local, old-fashioned celebration is great fun for the young and young at heart. Here is a list of just some of what you will experience:

  • Main Street will be filled with the sounds of carolers and other live music
  • Carriage rides
  • Santa Claus will visit with children each night at the library
  • The Doggie Fashion show is back, tonight, Friday, on South Main St
  • A large tent on the Village Green will offer lots of artists and vendors selling holiday crafts and gifts
  • Local merchants are offering their own special events as well

Christmas in Davidson is this Weekend: December 1- 3, 2011

Christmas in Davidson , an annual tradition since 1988, is my absolute favorite holiday event in and around Lake Norman.  This amazing 3-night, small-town holiday festival can’t help but get you in the holiday spirit and remind you of the warmth and comfort in our communities.  From strolling along Main Street enjoying hot cider to taking a carriage ride or doing so serious gift shopping there truly is something for everyone and every age!

Here is a great summary from DavidsonNews.net (a GREAT resource for local news and events):
