If you haven’t visited Historic Downtown Mooresville recently, this Saturday, May 14th, is a great opportunity to explore and enjoy the many new shops and restaurants while strolling down Main Street during the 29th annual Race City Festival.
Formally called the Lake Norman Festival, this very local event has always been one of my favorites. It offers a chance to experience truly Southern small-town fun combined with the unique entertainment and community organizations and businesses that make living in Lake Norman so special. From funnel cakes to huge turkey legs, traditional Southern festival vendors will be there as will ” more than 150 vendors, artist displays, live demonstrations, downtown merchant sidewalk sales, a children’s area, international foot court and live entertainment” according to a recent article in the Mooresville Tribune.
Sponsored by the Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce, Saturday’s event runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm on both Main and Broad Streets in Historic Downtown Mooresville.
